Microsoft have released a set of SharePoint 2010 templates that you can use in your current SharePoint environment in your schools.
The templates are free and can be downloaded from here.
There are 2 main templates in the WSP Solution that you download from the Microsoft site. You can upload this as a sandbox solution into your environment and they are available as a site template when creating sites.
Class Site
Features in the class site include:
- Assignments
- Announcements
- Calendar
- Class Discussions
- Course Materials
- Links
- Student Files
Study Group
Features in the Study Group include:
- Calendar
- Group Discussions
- Links
- Shared Documents
- Tasks
When I click on the link above to download the Sharepoint educational templates it takes me to Microsofts search site but it does not find the templates shown above in your post. Do you have a more recent url I can go to? I would love to use these in our school. Thanks, awsome site by the way.
